MAIN STREET WORK SESSIONS – Public is Invited

October 1 @ 8:30 am – 4:30 pm

The Town of Jamestown invites residents, business owners, stakeholders, and community members to participate in a Public Design Charrette on Wednesday, September 30 and Thursday, October 1 at Town Hall. This collaborative workshop is part of the Main Street Corridor Study and will provide opportunities for the community to share ideas, discuss priorities, and help shape the future of the corridor.

A Complete Streets design charrette is an intensive, collaborative planning workshop where engineers, planners, urban designers, stakeholders, elected officials, and community members work together to develop concepts for a street or corridor that safely serves all users, not just motorists. Complete Streets principles focus on accommodating pedestrians, bicyclists, transit users, freight, emergency vehicles, and people of all ages and abilities.

  • Wednesday, September 30 – Public Open House | 6:00–8:00 p.m.
    Join us for an introduction to the project, an opportunity to learn more about the Main Street Corridor Study, and an open discussion to share your ideas, concerns, and priorities for the corridor.
  • Thursday, October 1 – Stakeholder Work Sessions | 8:30 a.m. –4:30 p.m.
    A technical design workshop with stakeholders to explore potential improvements, develop concepts, and identify opportunities to enhance the corridor for all users.
  • Thursday, October 1 – Public Pin-Up Session | 6:00–8:00 p.m.
    The public is invited to review draft concepts and sketches, provide feedback, and help refine ideas based on community input.
