Kersey Valley Landfill’s 2021 Air Emissions Inventory is below. Kersey Valley Landfill leaches to Richland Creek/Deep River/Randleman Lake, and emits toxic and hazardous air pollutants to Jamestown’s air.

The NCDEQ waste management division, on Kersey Valley’s “Permit to Construct,” states that Kersey Valley Landfill “is located in Jamestown, North Carolina.” The NCDEQ Air Quality Division states that the landfill is in High Point (See documents file HERE).

The main point is that Kersey Valley Landfill is physically located four (4) miles south of Jamestown’s Main Street, at the corner of Kivett Drive and Riverdale Drive. Within one mile of the landfill are: Eastside Wastewater/Sewer Plant, GFL C&D Landfill, High Point Landfill (inactive), APAC Asphalt, and Martin Marietta Quarry, ALL of which are emitting particulate matter, toxic pollutants and hazardous pollutants into Jamestown’s air.
