“When are the town council meetings held? … I never hear about it until it’s over… someone said the meetings are recorded but where do you watch it?” I hear that a lot. So here’s notice that the next TOWN COUNCIL MEETING IS TUESDAY, AUGUST 19th, 6pm at Town Hall. It’s open to the public, or you can watch it live (or later) on the town’s Youtube channel HERE.
This is the agenda for the upcoming meeting:

WHERE TO FIND IT: A few days before each meeting, an agenda and “packet” is posted on the Town of Jamestown website under the “Government” tab, HERE. When you land there, scroll down the page to “Council Minutes 2025” and look for the “packet” with the most current date (8/19/2025). Open that, and you’ll find a digital file with the Agenda on top, along with everything – documents, budgets, contracts, etc – that will be discussed in the meeting. The link to the complete August 19th packet is HERE.
THE MINUTES: First in the packet are the minutes from last month’s meeting. Some of the action items from that one: council approved annual payments in the amount of $64,000 to provide services for the Jamestown Public Library and $10,000 for the Jamestown YMCA. Also of interest – the golf course quarterly report presentation:
