TOWN COUNCIL MEETING & PUBLIC HEARING

The Town Council will have their regular meeting on Tuesday, July 21st at 6:00 pm in the Council Chambers at Town Hall (301 East Main Street). The public is invited to attend. Two public hearings will be held – view the complete packet HERE.

One Public Hearing is to consider text amendments to the Land Development Ordinance (LDO), Articles 3, 7, and 18, regarding flood damage prevention for Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) compliance and adoption of revised Flood Insurance Rate Maps (FIRM). A copy of the proposed amendments are in the packet and on file in the Town Clerk’s office for inspection by all interested citizens.

A second Public Hearing is for consideration of a zoning amendment regarding property at 4909 Guilford College Road: To rezone approximately 2.18 acres +/- from Agriculture (AG) to Conditional Zoning-Single Family Residential (CZ-SFR). A copy of the proposed amendment is also in the packet and on file in the Town Clerk’s office.
